ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN
Commercial – Design that is unconventional doesn't have to be segregated from the general public. Actually, it is more interesting when it breaks through into our everyday lives. Associates Associates are interested in collaborations with individuals as well as established and emerging commercial entities who seek alternative ways of approaching design. Weather it is a building, interior or installation, we offer a full spectrum of design services and we are immersed in each phase of a project: research, design development, permitting, bidding and construction. Right now we are fantasizing about designing a dreamy nail salon, a sushi bar at full sensory capacity, an impressive office space and the most poetic home…
Cultural – Our work with cultural organizations and institutions has included designing a building for a museum, interior and exhibition design, signage, wayfinding, exhibition graphics, publication design and art direction. Working across countries and cultures, having extensive knowledge of art and design, the work equally draws from established traditions, new experimentation, and emergent theories.
EXPERIENCE DESIGN
Fascinated with understanding systems of behavior we put a lot of attention to how a specific space or it’s smallest element, like material, color or light affects the viewer. We are especially interested in pop-up installations and immersive environments as a way of experience, where the quality of the space with all its properties and parts could influence behaviour and mood. Even better, we get excited when we can create the project yet to be held by classification and influence the audience.
FURNITURE & OBJECT DESIGN
We design and fabricate original furniture and objects as singular stand-alone works, as part of larger projects and as series. We use familiar materials in an unconventional manner and reinvent the everyday objects’ properties, questioning established conventions. Craft is always top-notch, as we either produce in-house or collaborate with excellent fabricators, production and supply companies, with whom we have established long-term relationships.
ART ADVISORY
We are fortunate to have close relationships with many of today’s leading artists and designers, as well as relationships with museums, cultural institutions, and galleries. Our inside position allows us to select and curate art and design objects for a range of needs and desires.
BRAND DEVELOPMENT
We create communication strategies across all aspects and dimensions of a brand, including: creative direction, identity systems, all forms of printed-matter, audio, digital and web-based content.
